Yesterday's class was one for the books. I have to tell you that I was thoroughly exhausted simply from ducking and weaving from the absolute BS that was flying around the room all day.
We were due, I suppose. My parting "gift" from a student was the knowledge that she is headed up north for the week and she can practice while she's there. They have 10 acres and they "fire into the woods".
"Do you not have an adequate berm or backstop?"
No - we just point into the woods.
"Do you have any idea how far a bullet can travel?"
It's ok - it just goes into the woods.
"Do you suppose that at anytime someone could be hiking or riding ATV's in the woods?"
Why would someone be hiking in the woods behind our house, we are backed up to state land.
"You realize you are responsible if you hit someone, right?"
Quizzical look. "OK fine, I won't do it."
Sure you won't.
People, we've got to do better.
